Combatra began with a simple idea. Training gear should feel comfortable, work properly and give you confidence when you step onto the mat.

My connection to martial arts started when I was young. I was bullied as a child, and Karate and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gave me discipline, direction and a better way to face difficult moments. Training helped me grow physically, but the biggest change was mental.

After more than 20 years in martial arts, I created Combatra to help athletes find gear that feels personal and performs in real training. What I learned through years of classes, hard sessions and competition shaped the way we think about every product.

Today we create gear for BJJ, Karate, MMA and outdoor training. Our range includes Gis, rashguards, belts, shorts, compression wear, sports bras, arm sleeves and team apparel. We also make custom gear for individual athletes, clubs and academies.

We focus on the details people notice when they actually train. The fit should feel right. Movement should not feel restricted. Custom gear should represent the person or team wearing it. Whether you order one item or a complete academy kit, the goal is the same. It should feel practical, personal and ready to use.

Combatra is based in Melbourne and serves customers across Australia. Selected outdoor products use UPF 50+ rated fabric where it is clearly stated on the product page. Supported fabric is tested to AS 4399:2020. The rating applies to the tested material, and actual coverage can change with fit, stretch, wear and use.

We know that buying gear online takes trust. We aim to give customers clear information, realistic expectations and helpful service. We would rather explain something properly than hide it behind big promises.
