Combatra is an Australian performance sportswear company based in Melbourne, Victoria. We design and craft custom BJJ, MMA and karate gear — Gis, rashguards, belts and team apparel — alongside UPF 50+ sun-protective training wear built for Australian conditions. From local academies to athletes training under the harshest sun in the world, our gear is made to be personalised, worn hard and worn proud, anywhere in Australia.

Bullied in childhood, I turned adversity into discipline through Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at a young age. What started as self-defence became a lifelong journey of mental strength and purpose. After years of intense training, I overcame my past — not just physically, but mentally — and made a promise to use my skills to support others walking the same path.

That promise became Combatra.

With more than 20 years of training experience behind the brand, Combatra exists for athletes who need gear that can handle real work: hard rounds, long classes, team sessions, outdoor training and the everyday discipline that sits behind combat sports. We create premium, personalised sportswear and equipment for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate and MMA, with each piece designed to reflect identity — your name, your colours, your academy and your story.

For selected outdoor and performance products, Combatra uses UPF 50+ fabric where that rating is clearly stated. UPF references are made carefully and only where supported by AS 4399:2020 fabric testing. The rating applies to the tested material; garment design, body coverage, fit, stretching, wear and real-world use can affect coverage, and we do not claim ARPANSA, Commonwealth or government endorsement.
